Crayon

The Nigerian music scene first met Crayon on “:Cray Cray”, his highly celebrated debut EP. The 6-track project spawned his first hits “So Fine” and “Gock Am”. He culminated a memorable debut run with a Rookie of The Year nomination at the 2019 Headies Awards. Crayon continued to make strides in 2021, releasing a sophomore EP titled “Twelve A.M.” His next notable career moment would come after the release of “Overloading (Overdose)” by Mavins in 2022, on which he recorded a stellar stand-out hook.

2022 proved to be a defining year for the Ojo bred musician, because after “Overloading (Overdose)” came “Ijo (Laba Laba)”. The viral, chart-topping track earned Crayon nominations at the Headies and Soundcity MVP Awards. In 2023, Crayon released his celebratory debut album “Trench to Triumph”, lauded for its sonic brilliance and raw subject matter. That same year, he won the award for African Fan Favorite at the AFRIMMA Awards, demonstrating his mass appeal.
