Welcome to Part 2 of the Mavin Songs as Zodiac Signs series! If you missed the last one, you can find it here. This week we’ll be talking about Libras in love, Virgos at work, Pisces as human sponges (more context on this later)- and more! We will also be deciding which songs in our catalogue suit these signs best, so keep reading to find out which ones made the list this week! (please note that all song selections are extremely biased and based on completely unverifiable information). Happy reading!
Sagittarius- Ijo (Laba Laba) by Crayon
As the only mutable fire sign within the Zodiac, Sagittarius possesses a unique adaptability that makes them more adventurous, creative and spontaneous than other fire signs. They are super enthusiastic, friendly and a bit over-the-top (see: loud). If you’ve ever been friends with a Sag, you know they’re the type of people that are always trying to be outside. They love to explore, try new things and have novel experiences (very “live, laugh, love” coded). Sagittarians are also very optimistic and free-spirited, embodying the sanguine energy of Crayon’s “Ijo (Laba Laba)”.
Virgo- Hustler’s Anthem by Bayanni ft. Don Jazzy
One thing about Virgos: they love to work. And they are very good at it. Their perfectionist tendencies make them excellent at executing projects that require high levels of organization and attention to detail. However, this means they can also be overly critical and nitpicky (seriously, nothing gets past them). Bayanni and Don Jazzy’s “Hustler’s Anthem” is very Virgo coded in its witty humor and practical outlook on life. They love the grind, they love solving problems and they love being better than everyone!
Pisces- I’ll Be There by Boy Spyce
The dreamers of the Zodiac, Pisces natives tend to be very idealistic, intuitive and art-inclined. They are also hopeless romantics who love to love and be loved. Boy Spyce’s “I’ll Be There” paints an accurate picture of a Pisces in love-highly devoted, tender and very down bad. Like their fellow water signs, Pisces can also be very sensitive and empathetic-to the point that they absorb the emotions of others (kind of like a human sponge). This leads to mood swings, irritability and lots of daydreaming to distract from their overstimulating realities.

Libra- Love Me by Tiwa Savage
No-one loves love more than a Libra (please check on your single Libra friends today, they are going through alot). Tiwa Savage’s “Love Me” is probably what it sounds like in their heads on a daily basis, they are just that obsessed with the idea of falling in love. This air sign is ruled by Venus, meaning they have a deep appreciation for romance, beauty and art. Beyond that, Libra’s value fairness and balance, which means they tend to see multiple sides to a situation. However, this multi-dimensional outlook also makes them terribly indecisive, which can be quite annoying when it’s time to make important decisions (like choosing which ice cream flavor to get).
Scorpio- Voices by Magixx
When it comes to sheer intensity, no sign does it like Scorpio. This unnerving intensity-coupled with an added layer of mystery, is what makes them so magnetic. Scorpio’s tend to hold their cards close to their chests and would rather fake a smile than let you know what’s really going on with them. Magixx’s “Voices” perfectly encapsulates the nature of Scorpios-loyal, distrustful, and intuitive. In love, Scorpios can be very passionate and slightly obsessive (okay, more than slightly. It’s actually a little concerning). Overall, Scorpios make very interesting and dedicated friends (if they ever let you get to know them).
