This weekend, take a cue from Magixx on “Unlimited” and silence the noise (if you work in entertainment this is most likely going to be impossible, but you can try!). Put your phone on DND, archive those chats and ignore those pesky responsibilities. The only calls you should be taking this weekend are calls from your friends, family and of course the beach (never ignore when the beach is calling.)

If Elestee’s “John Wick” is not on your girls night playlist this weekend, you’re wrong! If you don’t have plans to paint the town red with your girls this weekend, you are also wrong! The perils of adulting are never ending, but there’s nothing like a night of laughter and drinks with friends to make you feel like life is worth living again.

It has been three years since Bayanni released this absolute banger, and we still can’t get enough of it. This song just sounds like a good time. It’s perfect for every occasion-parties, graduations, weddings, celebrations of life-you name it. Think about it. Did you really have a great night out if the DJ didn’t spin that Ta Ta Ta x Diwali Riddim mashup at least once? Exactly.

This playlist would not be complete without the song that inspired it, FUN itself! Yes, e go hard before e go soft and the streets ain’t got no love and your pockets may not be filled with green salad (yet) but pass yourself a cup of something this weekend regardless! If you find yourself craving some fun summer vibes this weekend, Crayon’s “Tete” is exactly what you need to transport yourself to that sunny, happy place. The breezy Sarz produced beat is the perfect remedy for your rainy-day blues and the chorus is even sweeter (sare mama tete tete, you no say time no dey dey!)
Pepe- Boy Spyce
Boy Spyce’s “Pepe” would be a hit during karaoke night. The beat is primed for all forms of jollification and merriment, but most importantly, the chorus rhymes! (if you are a karaoke enjoyer then you know that this is very key). It’s impossible not to be in a good mood when this track comes on (He literally rhymed belle with keke, if that doesn’t get a cheeky giggle out of you, what will?)
